    I have been looking at getting an Asus EeePC for travelling, and my sis has offered to pick one up for me in Miami before she heads home in 5 weeks. Does anybody know any "high street" retailers that I could point her to? (I know they are really basic rigs, but they do what I need when travelling, and the small size and weight appeals).

    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Most places I've seen selling EEE's are online. I would say try Fry's, but thats mainly western USA

    If she's there for five weeks, ordering one online and having it sent wherever shouldn't be a problem. In which case, Newegg.

    She works on a cruise ship, so although she has a postal address it takes ages for mail to get to her through the company's redelivery system, so the only option really is for her to pick it up in a shop.

    I believe Toys R Us carries the Eee PC as well.

    Even in the UK, Toys R Us carries the Eee (but only the white 4G, last time I checked)

    Be aware that Asus have stopped taking build orders for the Celeron powered 900,
    as the Atom/Diamondville powered 901 lands at the end of June.
