A company i work for has just gotten hold of a whole heap of these units http://www.senortech.com.au/robotpos.html so here is my question, i was thinking of useing some sort of Opensource program webased or somthing to create a home automation system the company i work for has let me buy 5 for $100 each, and as u can see from the stats there pretty cool. does anybody no of an opensource program with DIY information about Home Automation i cant really find any information on it can you guys help and if u do ill do a full write up on it
Looks like you got a decent deal there. I'm not sure about the whole home automation thing. It is a great idea, I just wouldn't know how to pull it off. Good luck with it though.
they have computer interface kits for T10 or something dont they? those pos pcs look really cool! maybe you could use relays and dmx for lighting like a stepper controlled relay board? and stepper motors for blinds
Well being a POS system your likely locked into a specific hardware platform Have you looked at homedomination? of course it's mostly built around web cams and X-10 but you can have a lot of fun with a cheap USB controller like the usbmicro the 421 is an awesome platform that you can program - sensors etc... Looks like fun!
