Is there any way to flip the drive over? Would look awesome with a drive window.

 

Dude that's sick as hell. Great work on those flush windows. Can I ask you a couple quick questions?

1. How did you secure the flush windows to the case. I used to do xbox gen 1's and I just made them fit tight enough to hold it's own. How did you accomplish this?

2. What type of paint did you use?

where do you get those replacement DVD covers? can do they work just the same as for DVD burners in a PC?

Well, i managed to get 3 dead ones, all had different problems.

Metallic Granite

I had it painted professionally actually. As you can see, a quality paint job sets a mod apart, so i knew i wanted as good a paint job as possible.

Divineo

Hmmm?

1. I made the window SLIGHTLY larger than the hole and the just forced it in place. This way i needed no glue or adhesive, but you would need to apply a LOT of pressure to move the window
2. Like i said, Metallic Granite, painted professionally.

I got them from Divineo as well, an online store in China. They work for a specific 360 drive only AFAIK.

That's what I figured, but I didn't know for sure because of the curvature of the side of the xbox. Did you run into any problems with that?

 

awesome. i wish i had the balls to rip my 360 apart and do something like that to it. then again, my past luck with rrod's would go quite a way towards putting me off from doing it altogether, eheh.

 

You have some great nerves there. I have had my XBox 360 sent back to the factory 4 times now. I've had the red flashing lights of death, 2 system lock ups and melt down. Microsoft has some issues there.

 

Like this. I did this to a laptop drive and put it in a clear external firewire box. Ran it like that for years. It's easy to kill them doing this, but the results look freaking cool.

About the plexi install?

Hi just a few questions. How do you line up the plexi glass cuts with the cut outs of the window on the frame of the 360? Could you maybe send your cut out specs for this design? Thanks
