First check that frapslcd.dll is actually missing. Go to C:/fraps and check, if it isn't then reinstalling fraps should fix the solution as EnglishLion said. If it is there, then again reinstalling fraps should fix it. Make sure that after the uninstall that the folder is deleted, then install again. Just to be safe. I shouldn't think it matters whether its 32 or 64 bit vista, I have fraps on both my laptop with 32bit and desktop with 64bit, and I haven't had any issues.
I'm running 64 home premium and my fraps works just fine - so it should be OK on that. Have you tried right clicking the icon and choosing 'run as administrator' - 64bit vista can be a bit picky with user access control etc...
ok, so i am also having the problem that fraps only records for about 30 seconds, then i found out it's suppose to !*%@$ do that!! i am officially ticked right now, i am going to try a program called guncam instead, the free version of FRAPS is crap.
Well it is free, so you can't really complain. GunCam isn't free either, so will put a watermark on your vids. The only time I ever used it I thought it was rubbish [off topic] Where abouts in peterborough are you from EnglishLion?[/off topic]
Yeah I'm in Orton, Orton Brimbles to be more precise. I think we may be the only peterborough chaps on here.
Well there's a house just around the corner from me that regularly has boxes from Scan out for the re-cycling, so who knows maybe there's another!
say what!? the free version of fraps only films for 30 seconds each time you press your hotkey... and the only difference between the free version of guncam and the real version is the free version has "www.guncam.com" in little words on the top of your video...so it's either an ad or 30 seconds
