I'm trying to put some el wire [from target] under my keyboard. I have the wire hucked up to a switch on the keyboard, and a headphone jack on the keyboard to the same type on the computer. The inverter is in the computer and is connected to the 12v [or the yellow/black, i believe that is 12] wires from the PSU. When i connect the psu to the inverter a loud squeel comes from my speakers, and the light will not turn on. All of the sauders/connects are covered with shrink wrap, none of them are loose/touching. Any ideas on how I can get this running????

    Peace!

Im not really sure but depending on the type of headphone adaptor you've used u might be running 12v through the entire case :S

hrmmm, thats the first thing that I thought was wrong, however i haven't attached the blank to the computer yet. I just have it on the floor to give it a test, and the noise still comes through the speakers.

    Peace

them target elwire invertors are for cars, not puters ..... loud squealing is normal for them.

The inverter does have a little squeel in it, which is fine, however it is also coming out of my computer speakers!!
