    Firefox 3

IMO, if IE were a snack it'd be a poo sandwich. Unfortunately we still have to use it at work for bits and pieces and the differences between IE and FF are very noticeable.

If you will use extensions (which you will) ff3
If you won't then maybe consider Opera
    ff3 is better though :D*

*yes I know that all depends on your definition of better.

Personaly FF3 due to the amount of customization you can do with extensions etc.

For security, FF3 + NoScript extension for teh cheesecake! ;)

    Memory usage however, FF3 sucks.
However, its not like most machines are short of memory and its there to be used. ;)
However, I found if its kept open with multiple tabs for a long time, it gets SLOOOOOW. :/

Not used Opera lately though so can't comment. :)

I have found it to use a lot less (like 1/3) memory than FF2 did
And there have been some studies that show it to use less than all the other browsers

    'nother vote for Opera.
Not I'm sure that FF is bad just that I'm more used to Opera & have no reason to change (I'm sure that this goes for many of the FF users in reverse) - never underestimate userfamiliarity & inertia.

I honestly can't see whats wrong with IE7. I am not saying Firefox is bad, I used it before IE7, but it has all the tricks that I need in a web browser, and USUALLY nothing gets into my machines that is bad as I have firewalls etc set up. Opera is ment to be the fastest at loading pages, some comparision on n4g.com between Opera, FF3 and IE7

    IE7 is a fine browser.
However, my vote goes for Firefox 3 and:

    - Adblock Plus
    - British English Dictionary
    - Copy Link Text
    - CustomizeGoogle
    - DictionarySearch
    - Extended Copy Menu
    - Extension List Dumper
    - FlashGot
    - IE View Lite
    - Java Console
    - Menu Editor
    - Right-Click-Link
    - Split Browser
    - StumbleUpon
    - Tab Mix Plus
    - User Agent Switcher

Does anyone still use K-Meleon? I used it for a bit, and my tab shortcuts (in TMP) are still modelled on it.

Been using Opera since 7.something and still loving it. If you want customizability, go with FF, if you want it to work and not be MS, go with Opera.
