Yeah, I tried that as well as the other steering option. This game looks great but it's so bloody annoying that it's taken me 10 go's on the first level. How dumb is that? Pretty weak in my opinion if I need a ****ing controller.

It's the fault of the game, because you prefer to use a keyboard for driving :eyebrow:

A keyboard is never going to offer the level of control that a steering wheel or gamepad do

Exactly, even thinking of using a keyboard for a car game is insane. lol

i tried this. unfortnately all i have is a keyboard so instead of complete the levels i wanted to see how bad of a crash i could do. I manager 207 KM/h head on into the wall with an exion of 100+ G. i think my drive is human soup :)

on the plus side it will work with a wheel, unlike juiced 2 which wont touch any driving controller at all. just get a decent controller and remember that you have to brake, and avoid other cars

Juiced 2 worked without any configuration (so did DiRT and GRiD) with my xbox360 controller

Firstly make sure you are using a steering wheel. This is a game in between arcade and realistic sim racing it's not going to be easy but if you think this is hard you should try realistic driving sims, you'd hate it haha.

I'll have to say the controls bugged me.
Driving sims seemed easier for me. i think its a combination of a lil lag, and the "awkward" sensitivity, im having trouble setting it up, games like grand tourism. forza, all those were easier to play. and i tried using a xbox360 controller on my computer to with this game, didn't help much.

I finally got the controls just right and got playing the game so I'm nearing completion of rookie licence on the three different racing scenes. I used 80%, 80% and 0 for my steering settings, if I'm not mistaken. A suggestion for those trying to learn how to control the cars is to start with something like a Chevy Lacetti and remember that you can't just floor it like in NFSMW! Even I struggled with the Lacetti for 3 days but when I finally got it down I managed to enjoy the game thoroughly. The toughest car as of yet for me is the 911 Porsche Turbo in the Le Mans races. That car is sluggish as hell!

Grid on the xbox 360 have porsche 911 Tubro awsome:thumb:. I like Porsche 911 Tubro and 911 GT3, Porsche Carrera GT. The very rate Porsche is Carrera GT.

I'm somewhat disappointed that there are no Ferraris or the lovely Audi R8!! Perhaps someone will be able to add it in :)

yep, the controls are nothing like a cheap arcade racer.
I found the tvr to be the worst, the open wheelers can be pretty nasty though as well when you start somewhere in the back and some other car decides to crash in you sideways and you end up spinning around like madness.
another thing are the crappy teammates, any hint on which one to choose so I end up with one who is good enough to be second the majority of the time? (without me helping him by trashing the other cars lol).

overall its a great game though.

the best thing about GRID is the drifting, the most realistic i've played to date.

yeah, seems to me all the latest games have stopped putting Ferrari into them :( such a shame.

realistic, and very hard. but once the combo has gotten going, it's both amazing to watch and superb fun.

I'm currently only in Season 3 and have yet to get a second driver on my team - any ideas when the option to hire one arises? Or have I just completely missed it even though it's always been available?

This game is awesome. I just completed it 3 days ago. 1st in every race so unlocked all bonus's too.

    @bahgger, u get offered a teammate once u hit £40,000 in cash.

And for ppl having difficulty in controlling the car, change the linear setting to 10 in the control setup.

not hard, you dont need any long drifts or combos, just need to drift in the right place, those red things placed in some corners give you enough points to win by a big margin if you drift past them close enough even without combos.

(not sure if i have posted this before)

I saw this game (but didn't get to try) for a few minutes on my friend's pc and what I saw looked awful. He could zigzag at 250kmh and was never even close to lose control. It's as if it was impossible to miss a corner 0.o

I guess he had all the driving aids enabled but still, that looked more like an arcade than a simulation game.

    we need a GTR3

I think the cars drive far too fast. Hopefully, a community mod will tone down the unreal speed and grip these cars have. Just my tastes.

A technical note: the game can scale superbly. Unfortunately, night races bring my system to a crawl from a stable, constant framerate.
