Hey guys, just looking for some advice on my new build, and im not sure what to get for a few parts.

    CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz (1333FSB)
Motherboard - Looking to spend ~£100, £120 max, any suggestions?
RAM - OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz ReaperX HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition Dual Channel DDR2
    GFX - BFG GeForce GTX 260 OC 896MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
    HDD - Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB 10000RPM SATA-II 16MB Cache
Optical Drive - Samsung SH-S203P/RSMN 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer Lightscribe ReWriter
CPU Cooler - Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler (Best fan for this? I use closed headphones so doesnt need to be silent. Also whats the difference between Arctic Silver Thermal Epoxy and Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound?)
Cases - Looking for something around £60 (Again not so bothered about how quiet it is, looking to oc a little bit so decent airflow pref)
PSU - Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU

ANy help or comments are appreciated : )

    thanks bindi : )

yeah think im gonna go for this asus P5Q-E, anyone got any ideas if the Thermalright Ultra-120 fits it? ive also been told that the performance of the velociraptor is not that far off the standard WD range, so not sure whether i should drop down and save £150.

Still not sure of the difference between Arctic Silver Thermal Epoxy and Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound tho ;x

Epoxy will GLUE your heatsink to your CPU - you don't want that.

The Tuniq Tower and Artic Freezer Pro 7 are both good CPU coolers not sure bout Thermalright Ultra-120 as have has no experience with that cooler.

No, no. Tuniq Tower is a pain in the arse to fit and nowhere near as good as the Noctua or Thermalright. The Arctic Freezer Pro 7 used to be a good cooler, but there are appreciably better ones from Akasa, Thermaltake and OCZ for around the same price.

The Thermalright is about as good as you can buy.
