    Another awesome update.

The black motherboard tray looks amazing, and will look drop dead awesome when the feet are on the case. Whens the expeccted finish date? or are you just doing it as you go along? Because i want to see this beauty when its finished.

Thanks! I have no expected finish date. I'm juggling four builds right now along with regular work and a business too, lol. I'm hoping to get it done last week, but that's usual. ;)

    :D

    Thanks, man!

    :hehe:

    July 10th Update!

Hey all. Well, it's been a strange vacation I've been on. At least, not normal in the sense of being able to relax much on it, but eh. It's good for ya. It builds character, and in this case it builds modded cases. Or tries to. But anyways, here goes the update.

First off, I was able to get a few things finally cut acrylic-wise for the mod. Haven't had time or the ability to lately, but I finally got to it. I also finished up on the two other builds I was working on. I'm still contemplating whether I should just drop some pics into 'modding' or something. I'll think about.

First up is the bay stealth cover. It came out awesome. And it looks like my measurements are eerily close to the mark. Which is good, I suppose.

Second is the side IDE bay cover stealth plate thingy. Drops in perfect too.

Third is the new radgrill for the top PA 120.3, which matches the front radgrill now.

Which brings us to the fourth, which is the front radgrill for the dual rad. Came out awesome, I think.

And a quick drop-in to see how it looks. Perfect!

I needed to cut away the stock grill from the front piece to make way for the new grill.

Unfortunately, I made a slight mistake when designing the pieces in the computer. I didn't compensate for the fact that I also needed to run the four switches through the front plate all the way, and the front grill is right in the way. :wallbash: That's what I get for not thinking three-dimensionally. I can be such a bonehead sometimes, but it's not a major problem. I just whipped out the 'ole trusty scroll saw and did a little minor surgery on things. I needed a way to get to the screws that hold the metal piece onto the front frame, so I drilled some huge holes through the acrylic so I have an easy way of getting the whole piece off with minimal effort. This works great!

And a test fit on the case frame to see where things are. Right smack where it's supposed to be.

Remember how I was making a new top for a waterblock for the x38 chipset? Well, I got it done. :naughty: It's awesome too.

I needed to tap the holes for G1/4 threads, so I pulled out my trusty G1/4 tap/handle, which is huge. It's the size of my forearm. Seriously. It's big though because it also doubles as a zombie-basher for the upcoming zombie apocalypse when the dead come back to life to feed on the living, so Joe would appreciate that. ;)

I don't have a pic of me tapping the threads because I have to concentrate on it so I don't wind up with threads that angle the barb sideways. :hehe: But here it is all finished up. It's awesome. I needed to lap the bottom of the block also, so i took care of that too.

And installed on the mobo. Right smack on with the measurements. I just needed to modify some springs for the mount posts with it, because the new top is a bit thicker than the original. Everything worked perfectly and it's solid.

Well, I wish I could chat some more, but I need to run off. Besides, I'm all tapped-out. :hehe: Hahah, get it? Tapped-out? You know, 'cause I was just tapping threads? Augh, forget it. Puns blow! :hehe: I have some ice-cold beer calling my name, and I can't deny the desire. Hey, I'm only a dude, you know? :D

Until the next update, I got nuthin'. :thumb:

its seems about time for eel to win motm, now that coolermeister finally got won its your turn. This is one of the highest quality mods to watch right now and its turning out fantastic, even with all the rework every try makes it better. You need to finish this project soon, and stop starting more projects than youre completing, its just not fair to your dedicated viewers.

I like how you cut an underline on the logo, but still managed to keep all of your grill ribs attached. -Well thought out there. *golf clap*
I have also prepared for the zombie apocalypse. I made a hammer with a 3 foot hickory handle. If anyone asks, it's a 'walking stick.':D
Your puns aren't too bad... I knew the QUEEN of bad puns. She would step away from everyone before delivery so no one could slap her.
The parts look good with the paper on too. I think beige/black is a color scheme that should be done someday on a computer.

If it looks this good with the paper - please warn us before showing pics.
PS: If you're looking for the Novus it's inside the case LOL

    Thanks, mate!

:hehe: I appreciate the kind words, man. And you're welcome?

Hahaha, thanks Craig. Eh, too soon is the story of my life. :hehe:

Aw, thanks man. I can feel the love! Seriously, it's very kind of you to say so. There are many many other awesome mods on this site; I appreciate the vote of confidence in mine. And it's truckin' right along too! There wasn't any 'restarts' though; I just moved over to another chassis entirely. I'll finish it up soon, so I can concentrate on my CMC Field Server mod.

Thanks, Bod! I'm currently cutting holes and drilling, so they'll have a home real soon.

Hahhaha. Thanks, Mr. Wizard. Off-Topic: How's the newborn?

:hehe: Thanks, Cheapskate. Yeah, I tried to solve two problems with the contour around the symbol on the front grill. It just seemed to get lost without it on there, and with it it seemed to 'pop' for me, so I went with it. Thanks for noticing that!

    Thanks, CK!

Thanks, man! Oh, and I fixed my name in your quote... ;)

    Thanks, mate!

Thanks John. Hahaha, I didn't even notice the Novus bottle in perspective there. That's funny, and odd too. :hehe:
