Scratch Build – In Progress Temp name: Black Tower project [Update 16 Sep 2008]

Yes. The inner metal parts are going to be mat black. And the outer parts (MDF) high glossy black.

 

Small update four now.
Made more of the back side.









Still needs quite a bit of filler and lots of sanding
And thats it four now. Hopefully more soon

 

This is what i had time four till now.
Made the front pies of the top air duct.



And made the right and left sides



Hire in an different angle.



And my neighbors cat came along a gain. She is hard to make a descent pic of lol



And thats it four now. Next wood be the rest of the top air ducts. The side panels is in a hold four now. Need first to figure the internals be four the left side panel will be made. And the right one finish't.

 

nice woodwork, and i think everybody loves that cat!

 

It's really coming together now buddy. Can't wait for the finished product.

 

It sure is getting along real good
Pitty the last weak i was pretty sic. So not much building.
Hopefully i get more dun this week.

Wow all the nice + $$$$$$ HW. Anobis what do you do for a day job? And i didn't think i the wood could cut it (JOKE) but i am really loving it so far.

Lol i don't urn really big money. I work four a local news paper. I do the printing.
My last boss i had almost 600 holiday hours left. So i got all that pay'd out. It left a nice bit of money. And from that i am making this project with.

Well i was really surprised, very happy and honored. Wen i saw that i was in the Mod of the Month - June 2008

I didn't do much lately. Been a bit sick and tired like hell. But this is what i did today.
Made the upper plate of the motherboard box.

Not fully finish yet. The hole is four the heat sinks on the motherboard.
Made the piece that comes under the motherboard box.

Made the part that goes over the old 120mm fane hole.

Hire you can see 2 installed.



And hire you can see part 3 installed. And you can see the upper plate installed also.
The upper plate is still a bit to big but that comes later. The pies in front is only to clamp the upper part. So it wont fall down.
You also can see nails between the motherboard and the upper plate. These are four spacers. And will be gone wen the stuff is all glued.

I like the way you are makeing the mdf case from al the little peases of wood gluwed togheter, realy cool way of of making it.
