w00t?? It's more of an exclamation than a real word imo.

it was really clever of me to click onto this at work... trying to explain why your looking at a picture of a large male in an apple leotard is harder than it sounds

Onomatapaeic words are in the dictionary, but W00t isn't one of them. It doesn't occur on its own, it's a human-created sound. Zap is onomatapaeic because the sound of ZAP! exists and the word ZAP! is used to describe that sound. W00t, while the sound may exist in some instances, the word isn't used to directly to describe the sound. It also uses non-standard conventions and is a slang (not jargon) term, which in some circles would also prohibit it.

Surely 'w00t' has two zeros in it, if you spell it correctly, and therefore isn't a word? "woot" isn' t the same.

I thought w00t was "L33t-ised" "WOOT" which stood for "We Owned the Other Team" and originated from Counterstrike...

Non-standard features can be part of a word, definitely.
