Hey Jokkos, it's been ages since I caught up on your log... so busy with numerous things at once I don't get the same time to catch up on other people's logs lately. Anyway, those last pics looks fantastic! Sweet work mate. :thumb:

    Happy Modding!

    Cheers

    thanks guys

@widmod: yep still the same, the lcd in the case has the Samurize config, and the 8" just has some regularly used files etc. It also serves as secondary screen when needed.

    thanks,

the usb-vga adapter is the blue device you see in one of the pics. It's a variant of this one:
    http://www.trittonsales.com/products/TRIUV100.htm

Basically, it is meant for laptop users that want an extra monitor. But it works just as well on any pc with a spare usb port.

    Epilogue

I have a few pics I seem to have forgotten to post, they’re not that good but they show the three monitors after the install process, so no more fugly windows desktop wallpaper.

Here’s what it looks like in the evening with room lights and no case lights.

A close-up of the PsOne LCD. The tv-out of the GF8800GTS doesn’t give an image as big as the tv-out of the MX4000 did. So I’ll need to resize the whole thing. Also look at the left portion, all fans at 0%. A big contrast with the situation before the extension of the loop, when there was always some fan action.

    Later at night…
    [IMG]

And in the dark with case lights.

That were the last pics I had, so it’s really over now…

The watercooling is doing great, generally speaking the noise levels are much lower than before and the temps are better as well. It’s really quiet now when doing normal 2D desktop work.
Only the pump hums a bit louder from time to time, there’s some resonance.
But I’ll try to remedy that later on…because after reading the 8800GT review here on Bit-tech and some other sites, well, let’s wait a bit but it seems like an awesome piece of equipment with a much more reasonable power need and TDP than my GTS. And if that’s not enough, the waterblock Aqua Computer is making for it is rumored to be made out of copper instead of alu…so the itch is getting stronger!

I really like the "industriel slash tech" look of this case.
    Really really beautifull case :)
    Best regards ZeroHerO

    Look brilliant.

Bit-Tech, I think we need this as a modding article!

    thanks a lot guys!

With respect to my post of yesterday where I mentioned the 8800gt and aqua computer block...well...I'll just post a link
    link

This is without any doubt the most beautiful full vga block I've ever seen. Period.
So I did two things after seeing the pics:

1- got me a clean pair of pants
2- opened my favorite webshops to look if they have the 8800gt in stock already (in Belgium we're always a bit behind)

Just some feedback - this mode came out real good! Much better than I anticipated when I saw the first few pieces of aluminium :)

Well done, even though it is a belated reply!

I just had to comment jokkos.
The attention and effort you put into making your mod at this level of tidyness sould put many a modder in envy.

IMO, your box set's you inn at a respectable #2 mod shown here on bit-tech all-time!!
    _RESPECT_ !

Still my #1 is Orac³ by non other than Gnome.

    here's a reminder:

Thread revival :D:clap: just read through the whole log thanks to the link in your sig :) = awesome modding & super strong case so I just had to :D:rock: you did this before I started thinking of scratch building :D, real nice work on this jokkos :).

+rep +5 stars if it didn't already have that :D.
Was there not a rep button back then or something, a lot of the modders who done amazing work dating back a bit seem to have mini rep bars .
