    Hi,
For about 2 years now I have been building a small radio controlled boat. its been more like one month though because I started and never finished. I have decided to do some more work on it and right now I am adding a second layer to the hull. I need some input on the front of it though, do I keep the current shape or change it?
My ex girlfriend always insisted that I keep it the way that it is now but I think it would look better with part of the front cut off. hard to explain without pics so here we go:

Thats what it loos like so far.
here is a pic of what I could do:

first, yes I know my paintshop skills are legendary.
Basically I cut off that front piece that sticks out entirely or I change the shape so it comes out at an angle and the second layer on the hull comes out to meet it.

opinions? all are welcome. positive or negative.

To be honest I think it depends on what kind of boat you're building. With a powerboat-type design, I'd take it off, for a sailing ship I'd leave it on.

    power boat.
so take it off completley or extend it out so that it comes up at a constant angle?
If it cut that tip off completley then the front will come up at almost a 90 degree angle to the water.

Again, the design element comes into it - if it's more the larger-sized powerboat type affair (where it's more like a sailing boat, but with the sails replaced), then a near-90' front would look good. If it's a classic, fibreglass-powerboat type affair, then a bit of an angle would be best. :)

Course, this is all complete guesswork and near-unfounded opinion... I'm no boat fanatic, although I do know more than your usual joe-public. :)

Lob and extend. It will look a lot better with an angled bow.

It looks nice, I felt near-90' front would look good.
