If this is anything less than £300 I'll be surprised.

Well were almost into Q4 so sometime within the next 2 weeks and I guess we will be seeing Nahalem.

That's sweet and makes my laptop all the more acceptable for a few more weeks. Not seeing pre-order yet for the CPU's yet which is dissapointing. Most mobo manufacturers have stated Q3-Q4 so we should be seeing action soon.

Cant wait to see the BT Nahalem reviews!

Eh, go for a pair of 4870's in crossfire. Then you won't be locked into an Nforce.

I don't like AMD/ATI, and already own two 8800GTX's, and certainly don't want to buy 2 amd cards.

Can not wait until this goes on sale. This and a Nehalem processor will be a match made in gamers' heaven. I hope bit-tech gets a bit more info and maybe a test or two soon.

    Three PCI? Oooold. Phased out.

Plus you've more southbridge SATA ports than there are actually used, however I wish Intel would up their ICH to 8/10 already - it's been 6 for years.

The posts in this thread are a tad old, but to close the loop on this topic...

ALL X58 Boards with QPI (Memory Controller in Processor) get a free pass to run SLI from nVidia.
nVidia decided they didnt want to (or couldnt in time) design a chipset for the higher end Nehalem Processors, so they tried to force OEMs to buy an nForce 200 chip to put on the motherboard.
The OEMs pushed back and since nVidia didnt want their GPU sales to plummet, they gave a free pass to X58 machines.
No guarantee that P55 or G55 or whatever the mainstream counterparts will receive the same. But those will likely not use QPI and will use northbridge to control memory anyway, so nVidia may have a product in that market that will support SLI.

So, this motherboard above can run SLI or CROSSFIRE.
Only downside is the layout ASUS chose prevents a Triple SLI as most cards from nV that support Triple are Dual Width and there is not enough room next to the 3rd PCIe x16 slot on this mobo.

PS: The main reason I added this is because this mini review was the very first hit on Google for "asus p6t".
Want to make sure all are informed.

    Plus:
Now this is how I would want it! No more FDD and even IDE, enough sata connectors to hit the 10T mark

    Plus/min:
The power connector is on the bottom. This is probably for the new style PSU placement at the bottom.

    Min:
The connectors for exta usb, firewire etc are totaly in the wrong place. Now you have to cross cables over the motherboard to the rear brackets for exta usb brackets and such...

PSU at bottom, EPS at top. How mad is that?

Might have to think about a pci-e sound card soon!

Looks ok, But I'm not sure of that big heatsink between the slots and the cpu, As I use tower heatsinks, So MSI's Eclipse (X58)motherboard is looking attractive to Me, If The P6T Deluxe had heatsinks as thin as they do in the P5K Deluxe, Then the P6T Deluxe would be perfect to Me. Jmicron sucks, But I can ignore suckage for compatibility and so I lose a bit of Marvell as a result.

Except for Your first link, All the rest have been taken down and are saying "No Deep Linking".
And Yes there's a Marvel SAS controller for the Orange ports that can in a pinch be used for SATA too.
