So I'm currently using a Jeantech Aqua case, and I've got a few mods lined up for it. I'm also going to be upgrading some of the components inside as well. Current Spec: AMD Athlon-64 3800+ 2.4GHz (single core) ASUS M2V (socket AM2) motherboard ASUS nVidia GeForce 7600GS 512mb PCI-e 4gb (2x2gb) OCZ Platinum Edition PC2-6400 Optiarc DVD-RW drive 80gb WD SATA system drive 200gb WD SATA storage drive 500w PSU My PC at the moment: Image 2 Image 3 (EDIT: Pictures resized, well the ones that PhotoBucket will let me do. For some reason resizing uploaded photos just doesn't work, so I got rid of the two that won't resize and linked them instead.)
Nice That rig reminds me a lot of my previous one... does it serve you well? You'll definitely have to get some liquid cooling in there... especially since your case is called the 'Aqua' I've seen that Aqua marketed by a different company as well... In fact, my Raidmax case was in PC World under the Jeantech label the other day... I wonder whats up And nice speaker btw. MGT
damn Bob Major and his wonky drilling skills There is a lot you can do with this case, I think it needs something on the top panel so it doesn't look so plain maybe a blow hole or a small window or something. Are you still thinking about a new paint job?
But learn how to resize, we still have to download the full 1536px × 1152px images. Irfanview is free.
I'm currently throwing together an image in PS with plans. But in terms of case modding: -- The silver part on the front door will be deep red, but very glossy, so it looks kinda like glass. -- As mentioned in the another thread, the LEDs at the front will be changed to white ones. -- I want to paint the mesh on the front door silver to highlight the front of the case. -- At the moment I have green and purple cathodes inside my case (hence the switches), however I'll switch to just red LED strips. -- I also want to tint the window, hopefully so that I can only see the inside properly when the lights come on, but I'm not sure how well that will come out. -- Paint the back panel black, as well as the I/O panel. -- Maybe paint the inside of my case? -- Mesh any cable I can get my hands on. I will get liquid cooling at some point, but the 'Aqua' branding will go when I respray. The case is actually really good, I really like how the door opens on the motherboard side and the whole assembly comes with it. Ooh, and my new fans arrived today as well as 2m of cable braid: The front 120mm stock fan is a pain to get to though. The screws are round the back, so I had to remove the support brace and the HDD cage to get to it. New fan installed (it's the other way round now) Installing 80mm fan on brace: Here's what I mean by the door for motherboard maintenance. The new fans are really quiet compared to my old ones, and they look better as well. I haven't added the braid yet, will do later probably.
Fans look good I vote paint the whole chassis black rather than just the back.. always looks good! What diameter braid is that?
The braid is 12mm Clicky I just fitted it now. Took the PSU out and braided every cable that came from it, then rearranged my hard drives so that the wires didn't curl up too much. Still a mess at the bottom though. I probably will paint the whole chassis black, will look cool. I also want to try and change the colour of the drive attachments and fan mount on the brace.
I'm really bad at cable management. I've just seen this picture and I'm really wishing my case was as tidy. I know this guy has watercooling, but still. Like this
UPDATE:: I've drawn up two designs for the font of my case. I've included the original black and red scheme, and also one I thought up last night: Not sure which one I prefer. I've kind of got my heart set on the first one, but the white one looks so cool. Unfortunately, I'm not too sure how the white one would look in real life.
Red and black gets my vote if you want a high contrast case I'd have a brighter red, but still pick red and black
I kind of agree. The white is really growing on me though. Ryan, if you read this let me know what your opinion is cause you've got pretty good taste. Other opinions are most welcome as well. Bearing in mind though, that internal lighting will be red and the rest of the case will be black (with white detail if I pick the white one). EDIT:: I've added a poll to make this a little easier.
Its a tough call, either way its going to look awesome and a lot better than it is at the moment. Thought about removing the door all together? Very accurate and detailed sketches btw
