    Hi!

I am trying to use a Parallel PCI Card to control a 20x4 LCD and it's not working.

The PCI card use this chip: Moschip 9805 (http://www.moschip.com/html/MCS9805.html).

The LCD is working fine with the onboard LPT.

    Any idea?

    Hi Ismael,
I can think of two things to check:
    1. In your LCD software, have you set it to the correct LPT port (eg LPT2,3 ...) ?
    2. Is the setting for the Parallel PCI card correct ? LCD Smartie recommends setting to EPP mode.

As you can get it working with your onboard parrallel port, it shouldn't be wiring problems to the LCD.

    Hi!

Now it's working in Windows XP. I just need to put the IO address in LCD Smartie.

But no work on Vista x64. Probably I need a direct IO driver access to Vista x64 but I can't find anyone.
