    Brilliant review :D

Oh, and I totally understand what you mean about Monkey Ball (I stayed with a friend a few weeks back who'd just got a GC - we played Monkey Ball for almost the whole weekend!!)

Personally, I would think that those of us with PC's would find the Xbox way too similar and go out and buy a GC...I would (if I wasn't saving for a £900 PC upgrade!)

I would also like to point out that Mickey's Magic Mirror adventure thing (which luckily we borrowed and didn't buy) is possibly the WORST game you'll see on the GC.

    Ew..

Super Mario Sunshine is as good as ever though :D

Just to put in my 2 cents, Super Monkey Ball was the most played game in our house (4 college buddies), until ... Super Monkey Ball 2! SMB2 is played all the time. In a given day SMB2 is on about 5-6 hours, the multiplayer games are just incredible, and the single player is much more fun. GC rocks!

    how do you mean?

I think Sony are already going that way - apparently, the PS3 might not be released as a seperate console - it'll be built into a number of Sony products (ie, TV's DVD player etc) - so even though you'll only be wanting a tv, you'll may end up with a built in PS3 also!

that's a bit unfair in my opinion - don't get me wrong, Sony make excelent products, but how are other console manufacturers meant to compete with that?!?

hmm perhaps you're right, I just don't want one "dominant" video game manufacturer, sega's already dead so it seems like Nintendo and Sony are battling for dominance just like apple and Microsoft. I don't want to end paying $350 (Canadian) for a game console :(
