Can anyone expline what a CISCO Router is (not linksys home routers) or give a link to a site that does... Having truble finding a good source to read it up on. Thanks
http://www.cisco.com is a good place to start - manuals for the hardware and IOS (Cisco router OS) plus a lot of info on network protocols & routing etc. Is there something specific you are trying to do or find out? Mark
the cisco site dont really tell me much or in a way i can understand it just trys and sells you things. although i came acros this video thats not bad: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps341/index.html and http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6342/index.html im trying to define what a cisico router is in my own words, not copied. But as i dont know that one is, i need to fined somewhere that has the informsion that isnt to so complecated that it goes over my head.
cisco routers are built mainly to suit the needs of a business. The different routers that they have are all designed to meet different needs depending on what the business requires.
roughly similar in usage to any other router, but expensive enterprise-grade versions. very expensive, many features and not very easy to set up
