  2. Medium sized/ Small tower case with 'more than enough room' and a nice compact design.

    58.3%
  3. Desktop case which is nice and compact and can fit on my desktop.

  4. SFF Case - e.g. Shuttle, ITX Cases, mac mini. Cute little weeny cases that take up no space,

  5. No case at all! I prefer my stuff in a test bed where I can see it all working...

Just a quick poll and discussion-

What sort of case do you guys prefer for your 'main rig' - i.e. the one you are probably typing on now and use the most.

I just love huge full tower cases, with enough room for two or three watercooling systems and enough HDD space to hold hundreds of blueray movies. :D

I've voted mid size basically because my "main rig" is a p182 and my previous ones have all been on the same scale but with the very little gaming i'm doing these days my next main rig will probably be mini-itx size. My epia based desktop sees much more use than my main rig thanks to its passive cooling and lack of hard disk.

As small as possible with space for a normal ATX motherboard and plenty of hard drives. Lian-Li PC7 sized basically, I need to be able to fit it in the car with most of my other junk.

Wish i had a larger sized mid tower, or a smaller full size, my TT armor is a beast, and weighs a ton, and has no wheels / castors.. Oh well... One day i'll have a super awesome MATX box.

Just a midi-tower for me. Right now, it's an Xilence X1. It's simple, but enough room for everything I need. I like the bloody-simple design and the fact that it's a reverse-ATX case. As the PC sits on the table with it's left side to the wall, this it the first case that actually uses the air holes on the side.

I'd love to have a Stacker or something similar, but there's no way it would fit on the table.
But I also love the smaller desktop-size mATX cases. You can fit all you need for normal work and it takes up very little space.

Got both a Lian Li V1000 and a new Antec 300, using the 300 currently as the V1000 is the biggest dust magnet i've ever seen. For the price i'm really pleased with the 300. Er yeah, so mid towers are my thang.

Recent cases being the stacker 830, Silverstone TJ09 & Akasa Eclipse makes me choose medium. Neither a full server sized cases and fit pleanty of hight end quipment far more efficiently me thinks.

I always like the idea of having a server sized case but they lways look like there is so much redundant space, even in mods few people ever utilize the space that well.

as much as i love my p180, i must say i have a soft spot for SFF like the mac mini. totally impractical, but i just love how small it is. i think i might build a mini-itx atom system just so i can have a super-small case, even though i have no real use for it.

Got my Lian-Li over 6 years ago, it's brilliant, don't think I'll ever change it.

Silverstone TJ07 here, although, it's far from heavy, and doesn't need wheels
