ah list of TV shows I've bought in a vain attempt to relive my childhood, and on re-watching have learnt that my parents where right, i did watch ****. I was truly amazed at how bad transformers was on re-watching. Cities of gold being an exception, purely due to the theme tune

Sod the 80's make it whatever decade you like so long as it brings back memories.

from the 90's Taz-Mania utter legend of a show still got a taz figure where you press its hand and its tounge and eyebrows moves while he talks random shizzle lol

I must say that trap door show seems to be the product of a whole lot of very bad drugs. I mean, what is going on in that show?!!?! Wow...

Anyway, out of the 80s and early 90s my favorite cartoons are:
    Captain planet
    Thunder Cats
Hong Kong Phooey (well, i guess that this show was '74 but it still rocks hard)
    Smurfs
    Sonic The hedgehog
    Alvin and the Chipmunks
    Duck Tales
    Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers
the Jetsons (stopped regular airing in late 80s... so it counts)
Johnny Quest (the new adventures were in the mid 80s)

Trap Door (got the DVD :D, actually I've got most of these on DVD)
    Inhumanoids
    Transformers
(Filmation) Ghost Busters (not to be confused with the "Real Ghostbusters")

    Cities of Gold
    Pirates of Darkwater
    Visionaries
    Centurions
    Pole Position
    Captain N: The Games Master
    Scooby Doo
    Bucky O'Hare
Action Force (or GI Joe for the americans)
    Dungeons & Dragons
    M.A.S.K.
    Godzilla (and Godzuki)
Hong Kong Phooey (number 1 super guy)
    Secret Squirrel
Spiderman and his amazing friends (I think this has just come out on DVD)
    Thundercats
Knightmare (not a cartoon I know, but it was still a classic)
Edit: Nearly forgot He-man & She-ra and the Gummi Bears....

The earliest cartoon I remember watching is The Biker Mice From Mars. Never really watched much TV - Spent way too much time playing with Lego.

Plenty of good toons already mentioned, I'm gonna throw in The (Real) Ghostbusters, Inspector Gadget, Bonkers (the cat), Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, C.O.P.S and Animaniacs as well.

I was also an 80s kid (Transformers, Thundercats and Ghostbusters were staples), but damn some of those early 90s toons were pretty decent too ;)

I was about to say the same! When I was little I never really watched tv because I was more of an outside kid. But some I remember watching were:

Looney Tunes (Especially the now banned ones)
    Tom and Jerry
    Pinky and the Brain

Also I remember watching Thundercats and He-man and really disliking them for some reason. I'm not sure.
