I like the toy.:D It won't change the quality of your work, (already top notch,) but it will help you work faster.:thumb:

I'm still reading all the manuals that came with the machine but I couldn't wait to try and mill a text into acrylic. Made a couple of different test pieces, before I milled the name Evolutionary into one of the windows.

    And this is the result.

That's an excellent choice of font. With the round bit it works perfectly.

Yeah Cheaps is right, a very nice font. Excellent result for the first try. I'd hate to think what you can do when you master it lol.

It's been a while since I've posted an update. Been playing with my new toy, the cnc mill. I just love it
The black Tygon hose isn't as flexible as the normal transparant one. Needed something for tight bends and that's where the mill comes in.

These two parts can easily be removed. Just unscrew the three hex bolts.

And with the part in place.

A also made a part that will guide two hoses, that pass through a aluminium panel. Nice to practice milling a pocket. Made a pocket in an orange sheet of acrylic, two millimeters deep. The black acrylic fits into this pocket.

    b.t.w. this is a scratch build Bit-tech moderators, not a casemod ;)

CNC work is just evil. My list to Santa is already full. Maybe next year. This work is amazing.

BTW: You can change from casemod to scratchbuild yourself - edit the first post and then go advanced. Should be like the upper left dropdown. I just changed mine a couple weeks ago.

I see you are putting the new toy to good (and clever) use. Thanks for the link. The 400 is much smaller than the mill I was looking at, (more expensive too...:worried: 40,840 pesos!)

Nice work Franklin. CNC's open up a brand new world in design possibilities, and I'm glad you're already exploring it ;)
