The Noctua UH-12P 1366 kit in a push/pull configuration is fantastic.

Ok, one update. I was able to get a 3.8 stable with 1.28vcore and 19x200 bCLK

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    And something i did try ... the 4Ghz ... it's possible indeed! :)

But it's not worth it :)

from what i've heard ... my batch indicates that my cpu sucks! lolol :|

How the hell are people able to get 4Ghz with 1.25vcore ... :| i just can't understand how ... :| i'm not able ... but i'm not an overclocker, only today i started playing around with this :)

    Some results updates.

3dMark Vantage ( this run was done with the dram at 1500mhz )

    Aquamark 3
    GPU: 28,185
    CPU : 25,049

    Update GRID results:

    1920x1200 4xAA
    Avg. 133.667 FPS

1920x1200 16xAA ( the highest spec, don't remember all the words but its something like 16XQC... )
    Avg. 95.108 FPS

Load GPU temp (stock ). 74ºC

    Load CPU temp (3.8 ). 51ºC

One question about overclocking. My memory is @ 2T ... will i gain anything if i make them 1T?

Other thing is, i didn't deactive the turbo or any other cpu functionality on the bios ... should i?

I heard that i should turn Turbo mode off and CI something ... all the advanced cpu functions but in the P6T Dlx i just can't find it... nor if i really should turn it off :)

I think with that result and effort, you can call yourself an overclocker now :p

Install Sisoft Sandra 2009 - set the memory to 2T, check the performance, try 1T check again. I've found Everest to be.. sporadic in results.

Turn the turbo function off, at your speed you don't need it.

How can i set the memory to 2T or 1T? that's my problem, i've been checking the bios and i don't really find anything that says if the memory is 2T or 1T :D

It's classed as "command rate" and comes up as: 1N/2N

    Oh.. ok! :)ehehehhe

Ok, one more question ( sorry but i'm missing so much information and i can't find a real answer for some )

QPI voltage and vcore ... is there any rule to set the qpi voltage? when do we know we must raise the qpi voltage or if it's the vcore that must be raised to get stability ?

sorry to be abit off topic

Wow your temps are so low!

mines at standard clock idles at 40 and under load is 60!

When OC to ~3.8 currently not stable getting ther around 1.32V load is low-mid 70's which is too high and yours is only 51!!! what Vcore btw?

Silly question what case/heatsink do you have
One other silly if you could do this for me, when your system is under load does the top of your heatsink get hot?? mine gets warm but its always touchable im just wondering if mine is attached right its a Noctua NH-U12P which is decent but the temp difference i dunno...

Good going with the OC, im affraid to go above 1.32 with those temps im going to have to go lower :S

    Cheers Trent

    Everest memory benchmark
    [IMG]

    Trentham,

    i'm using 1.28vcore and 1.29 qpi voltage.

I'm using a CMStorm sniper case and a thermalright extreme 120 cooler. As for the cooler getting warm, not really :D

    nice mem bench!

ty for that, ive given up trying the 20 times multiplier im gonna try 19 and see the heat difference, at least u said the same about the heatsink.

Im getting some new fans on tuesday i hope it jsut need more air since the SLI 280's basically are right infront of the fan for the hdd's so i think they are being cool air piggies

    ty for the speed lolz

    **edit**
i got the same ram too lets see what i can do once i get this thing going lol!

Just use the 19x multiplier . You will need less vcore :)

Update on memory benchmark with 1T command

    Trent,

The 51ºc Was when playing. The games don't use 100% of the cpu like Prime.

By the way, i was able to lower the qpi to 1.28, tried it :)

A bit OT, but how do you like the case? I'm trying to figure if I like it or not.. Atleast it's a tad too noisy even at low fan speed...

    ey POST

ok ive been playing with the voltages you gave me and they work very well

I cant lower them al all without a blue screen in at least an hours time however the

    Multiplier at 19
    BCLK 200
    Vcore 1.28
    QPI 1.29

survives 4 hours!!! of prime 95 than blue screens :(

BTW have you ran yours to see if it does the same???

it survived yes. Put the vcore at 1.29 then. That should be enough :)

Ryan, maybe it's my fault ... i expect too much from stock equipment :)

But for sure, a great case :)
