This is what I have made recently. It was built as a joke. Parts are: MSI HD4780 512mb OC Edition, now has the stock cooler back on. TR3X6G1600C8D 6GB Corsair Dominator 1600MHz DDR3 The Intel i920 CPU and Asus Rampage II Mobo Detailed top view of mother board Insides of cardboard box. Outside of "case" Rear "pannel" of "case" Things were getting a bit hot so I added a pair of 120mm fans. Things to do are to add some on/off switche, reset switch, power LED, and hard disk LED. Not sure how to do the water cooling. Various other random pictures are found here: HERE ON FlickR
Reminds me on an old 486 "server" I once made by dumping everything into a shoe box with a single 90mm fan for cooling. It looked crap, and it was crap. At least yours is useful.
Nice... I didn't realise they had a 4780 out yet seriously, looking... good, what have you got the motherboard standing on? just out of interest
The project continues as someting else on this work log. I hope the mods dont mind. I actually have another motherboard and CPU in box now, will post pictures here soon.
