Thanks Antony. Yes, I saw your Sunbeam cube, nice water mod:)
Feature you say? That would be very nice of you - I didn't expect my build being that good:)
I've been making this cube for almost 2 years now. A lot of things happened during this time in my life, I have a lot sad times also. For me this build is pretty "historical", if you know what I mean. It helped me go through tough times last year, has been something that I could run away from real life and have my own world. Basically I'm saying it has huge meaning for me, but haven't thought its that good:)

    Thanks man!:)

How have you found that Revoltec fan controller? I fancied one of those, but was put off by a few reviews saying it made fans noisy.

Off the top of my head, I think it was the method used to reduce the speed being turning on/off the voltage rapidly, rather than it providing a constant reduced voltage.

    Cube's looking good. :)

    Another update today...

Got these 30mm cap head bolt from DirtyJester - from OCUK forum - for free!
43 bolts! Look how they beautiful are.. shiny... These will be my front panel bolts.

Also I filed those outside edges of front panel.. look how he's chillin' in tha bath:)
    Waiting for water sanding-polish.

Still doesn't have all the holes - dvd, fan controller, power and reset bottons.
I'll try to steal some time today and fold it up together with front ring.

Hey phinix, that front panel looks excellent! Did you drill all those holes by hand, or use a drill press? Either way, the alignment looks great. Not many can pull off multiple holes that well.

Thanks Craig. I have a drill press, but even with this is very hard to drill them in rows. Two holes are a bit not 100% aligned but you can only see it from 5cm so I'm safe:)

OK guys. It is time to show you the Cube itself:)

I polished the front panel, drilled screw holes and attached front ring.
There is still some work to be done here, but too much.
Slowly approaching to the end of this project. I haven't played any game for 3 months now! There is FEAR 2, Dead Space, Far Cry 2, Prince of Persia, Red Alert 3.. a lot of games waiting for me and its time to cool this GTX 280 monster with water and put some serious numbers in benchmarks:)

No more words.. just 18 photos of my little Cube:) Here it is guys... for your pleasure...

Thank you guys! Best thing in modding is that feeling inside when everyone comment you mod and like it:)

I will add led lights after hardware installation. Hopefully I will get rest of the water cooling stuff this friday (Bitspower compression fittings, new pump and stuff:)) Of course this Friday is also special for me in different way;) so I may not send enough time on modding.. drinking basically instead:)
Today I got special SATA data cable extension so will be able to migrate my slim dvd from K45 to Cube. That means I will measure, cut and prepare dvd holder and start to cut hole for dvd in front panel. I think I'm gonna drill manually row of holes with 6mm drill bit and then file it to nice long narrow hole... Next thing will be holw for ring in clear panel. After that will be mounting hardware - mobo, installing gpu block on GTX, new (!) CPU block and cutting new (!) tubing.
Yes! I got it right! New pump, cpu block, new tubing! ...and a reservoir! Well, why not! :) I have all here already, only waiting for a pump...
I know - changes ..AGAIN! Yep, I decided that this Cube is not made for regular HDD, SSD is the future, so no need for HDD cage anymore. Of course I will keep my cages for future in case I would use regular hdd in it. But now it will have a nice 18W DDC pump with XPSC res/top wih red leds. Coolant - Feser Pure clear water. Tubing - Feser red UV. CPU block - OCZ. I have already made nice SSD Vertex stand - it will eb mounted behind the res. You will see....:)

Sheesh, it's only a birthday! I've had twice that many and I still celebrate each one.

    Grab a pint for me!
