    Intel are trying to prevent Atom from eating into the "full size" CPUs by pairing it with a chipset that maims it. That will make the Nvidia 9300/9400 the premium chipset for Atom.

    1080p playback and/or BR playback is not an epic fail for netbooks, no. For an eeePC style machine, however...

    Intel has always made different tiers of chipset since the 440BX to squeeze more money out of the consumer. eg Home/Workstation/server markets
