You'll just need a 2.5" SATA drive. Only thing to note is it shouldn't be taller than 1/8 (standard height of 2.5" drives)

I popped a 320 in mine a year back and haven't regretted a thing since.

In our national price database standard size is listed as 1/8H.

According to the specs of a random 1/8H WD drive this equals:
    0.374 Inches / 9.5 mm

    About the "H" size:
The original floppy drives, both 8 inch, and 5 inch, were 3 1/2"
high. The fractions are referred to that.

I upgraded my first generation MacBook Pro's HDD from 80 to 500 not so long ago. http://www.ifixit.com/ has step by step guides for this kind of thing. You will need both a small philips and torx screwdriver to open a Macbook so be prepared.
