    I have a Corsair CMPSU-850TX, a single 12v rail rated at 70amps.
It's a non-modular PSU that I'm planning to make modular.

Would any of these be safe enough to use as connectors? Would they be able to handle the amps? http://www.connectpositronic.com/product_list/family/22/Circular/

The contact current rating for them seem to be quite low, at 7.5amp, 13amp, or 25amp.
Maybe, these are the amps per contacts, in which case it might be enough. (ex. 4 x 25 = 100)

Can anyone who knows a thing or two about PSU's shed some light on this?

They're rated for those 5-25 Ampere at 250 VAC.

As your PSU is 12 VDC, I really don't see a problem there of using them.

So with my very limited knowledge of electronics (amps x volts = watts), would I even be able to use the one rated at 5 Ampere at 250 VAC?

Taking the amp, and multiplying it by its volts (5a x 250vac = 1250w) then dividing it by the volts of my psu (1250w / 12vdc = 104.17a) I get 104.17 amps. I know I'm missing an AC to DC conversion in there, but is that about right?

    About right, yes.

It's a bout the heat that may be generated.
