Hey All sorry Ive not been about much for the last few weeks, work and TTL have both been eating up so much of my time, thought Id drop in with some pictures and links to a couple videos for you to look at. Ive just finished a TJ-07 for Jim who owns oc3d, we named it Red Wrath. The guide was the best and sexiest red you can do, no holds barred but it must be great in both bright light and dull light. Also wanted it to 'look standard but be very individual' This is what I came up with Video 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X61o3...e=channel_page Its House of Kolor Kandy Apple Red, with a tricked out base based on one from the mbc series. When assembling the case every nut bold and screw in the entire case was replaced with M3 black allen headed bolts, it took me 5 hours to repace them all and carefully nestle this back together without scratching it! I didnt take many when assembling it, was far too nervous just wanted to get it done! Heres some finished shots Video 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj8ki...e=channel_page Its gone off to Jim now to work on the internals, I will post back with updates on the build
I would have done the drive bays in the same candy red, then added black tribal pinstriping. But that more of my taste not the owners.
Couldnt do the drive bays red cos of the build up on the edges, theres 12layers of the candy alone on there, we did do 1 sample and it wouldnt have gone back together without sanding the edges, and you would have seen that, so we went with black to match the grills and interior. I was a bag of nerves putting it back together, even worse where I replaced everthing with m3, 2mm allen head bolts (we all know how easy it is the slip out of them)
Only a minor update Im mega busy here doing a number of jobs as its bank holiday weekend. Jim the guy who owns this wanted a normal bolt in fan controller not stealthed somewhere like I normally do, and he finaly chose my personal favorate and recomendation the other week. Me being me I couldnt leave alone though, so I smoothed all of the led holes and also the line that runs across the front. To give it a sleeker look and that extra custom touch. I painted it to match the other bezels and give it a mirror polish ALL HAIL THE REFLECTION GOD!
