Well on Ebuyer its £4 more for the Q6700 and I'm not going to overclock a lot. So was wondering whether it was worth just buying that.

If its only £4 more then there's no reason not to! Its basically the same chip apart from the Q6700 comes with a slightly higher clock speed at stock and the multiplier max is x10 rather than x9 of the Q6600 which gives you more options when overclocking.

For the sake of £4, you may as well!
I'm wishing I had got the Q6700 now, the x10 multiplier may have been useful for overclocking(currently rocking 3.6GHz with no voltage increase) but I couldn't justify the £200-£300 premium as it was when I bought my quad. £4 is impressive now though!

Alright cheers. It's £155 OEM over £151 OEM, which I'd prefer to be honest so I can buy my own cooler and thermal paste.

I had a look at scan today, they have them for £137 and £143, if you're looking for the cheapest. Might be a 'today only' offer though.

Cheers, I'll have to check back on the 25th (18th Birthday) to see if it's still available due to the current lack of funds.
