You're watching it now John. This project has always been my dream to build. I still remember the day my father took me to see the first ALIEN movie (1979). I was 10 yrs old. I walked out after in a complete daze. ..and it wasn't just over seeing sigourney weaver in her underwear (still works today btw)

Thats why I'm beating down manufacturer doors begging for sponsorship of parts. Normally the customer covers the cost of everything and I just work. You forget how expensive this hobby can be!

Test fit it tonight, touch up some details with spot filler, re-install the threaded rod and then I can apply the base coat to the bezel

Whooo, It's still pretty wobbly over the optical drive.
Are any of the faceplate features going to bleed into the side panels?

It's just propped, nothing is finalized yet. I still need to finish the bezel. Yes, the side panels will blend into the theme

please dont just glue some random stuff on the flat panel and add shitloads of bodyfiller on it to make it look "organic, going into the 3rd dimension is the way to go

Given the work done so far, does that look likely, even if you aren't familiar with Bill's work?
Wait and see how it turns out instead of telling the artist what not to do. :p

I love the concept behind this, Bill, and the execution so far is looking really promising.
I'm a huge fan of Giger's art myself so I'm keeping a keen, excited eye on this. :thumb:

"Oh look, Bill has a turret from a Panzer 7 and a wing tank from a B-19 on his case!"

    Not in this lifetime!

    I have faith.

    I watch
