    Hi all,

A couple of days ago my brother showed me how to make HDR photos. Right now I'm using the trial version of Photomatix pro 3 so it had a watermark, but I took care of that with ps. So this is what I came up with.

    Critique is appreciated.

looks cool. One question. Is it just me or is the bridge a smidge out of focus ?

Not really too surprised about the focus issue. Changing the exposure with my camera and trying to keep it still is a pain. Could also be my lenses too. :(

do you not have a tripod ? if not buy one. you will not regret it. Just invest in something half decent.

or shoot one frame in RAW and try 3 or 5 different exposures, or find the bracket function and shoot a 3 frame burst. But a tripod will give you the best result. Also, I would add a tad more contrast. the for ground looks washed out and with the sun behind the bridge, it cries out for a little more punch.

I have a tripod and I had my camera set on a timer so I wouldn't have to worry about camera shake.

    What is the bracket function?

Bracketing is where the camera takes a bunch of photos (usually 3, sometimes 5 or 7 or even 9) at different exposures. For example, you could set it to bracket -2, 0, +2 (in f-stops) of a scene, then you can combine them later on the computer. On my 40D, the bracketing function is on the second page of the settings. Hope this helps (Vers or some other more experienced photographer should be able to expain it better..)

    Sweet!
Does anyone know where I could set this function on a Canon Rebel XTi or if the XTi even has the ability?
