Wow, BrawnGP were just not fast enough, Mclaren and Lewis are the big surprise, they had raw pace. Lewis and his KERS are going to be a real threat.
Cool. Going to be a great race. Provided the predicted sandstorm doesn't delay it.... (and I notice the BBC, nostalgic for the late 90s, couldn't help but playing the Cast song over the closing montage from qualifying today!)
The KERS system must pump a fair amount of heat into the car, not something you want on a v.hot track.
Good race by Jenson, Vettel didn't do bad either, Toyota screwed up the strategy, they where probably expecting Jenson to be on three stops so they risked a long second stint which turned out to loose the race for them.
Great race, very entertaining tbh. Good work from Jense, nice to see Ferrari scoring some points, along with a decent Toyota & Vettel performance. Roll on Europe!
absolutly enjoyed that race and very pleased with Jenson. I was a bit dissapointed that i wasnt physically at the race (had the oppertunity but the timing didnt work out) which was made a bit more annoying thanks to the phone call from my old man at the start of the race, but im just happy that i could watch it! Thank you BBC for live TV streaming over the tubes
Sounds interesting - hope they post it up on their site later, as I had to sky+ the race, so no red button. But, as said by many already - GO JENSE! And Seb - great drive. I can see him being the main title contender this year to JB, rather than Rubens.
Good stuff from Jensen, and those first few laps had some terrific racing. However, Jonathan Legard is *really* beginning to annoy me. He seems clueless about what's going on, makes frequent mistakes...
haha PF1 picked up on some as well: We had a few more Leggardisms to enjoy: "What magic is Ross Brawn weaving on the pitwall...?" I don't know, let's see, has he got his cape on again...? Plus the hilarious moment when the timing screens reshuffled as they do at the end of each session in Qualifying and Jonathan announced that Button and Barrichello were 14th and 15th in Q1. Martin Brundle's reply was witheringly brief. Good race though tbh in paticular the first half, but at least we get to Europe where they can acctually fill the grandstands every day not like Bahrain where they can't even fill it on race day. Oh Oh and Monaco soon *wets self*
