Sort of defeats of the objective of modding dont it !

Ne mind ah, guess some people will want it !!

Retailers should certainly start looking into this market for all brands of case, it would be hooooge

Yea the guy from microdirect who was at our freshers fair had his lian li done like that. Looks superb in the "flesh" - lazer cut edging and the rivots look better then rubber IMO.

Anyway, shame they dont do a service for all kindsa cases - just send in your side panel.

Point is will they do them for the other cases such as the pc 69 and the pc 70 hope they do as the main reason i didnt add a window was i could'nt get another side pannel if i botched it up. After all ive wrecked 2 cd fronts trying to do a macroman already.

Got the revised PC-60s into stock today as scooped by Koolvin some time ago. I must admit that I am not too keen on the new power buttons (a bit plasticky). They also no longer have a power supply supplied, thats another downer but I suppose most of you would have your own PSUs anyway. Someone mentioned that that they were £129.99 with the side panel...afraid not.. the best you can do is a 5% student discount in certain stores or money off using the vouchers in the catalogue. £129.99 for the case and £29.99 for the panel.. :(

saw the £129.99 price tag in one of the photos....and it's standing on a PC60 case WITH a windowed side panel...so I assumed that's what you were getting....
    Evil maplin :(

I put the panel on for the benefit of the photoshoot... couldn't possibly leave it on display... Imagine all the horrible fingermarks from the little brats with mucky paws....
    .....shudder.....

Nice for those don't like to DIY, but a sqaure window is hardly original. I give more props to the person who is willing to cut up a Lian Li side panel with something more original.

I have no intention of getting a Lain Li, purely because I prefer the Dragon. I also would do my own mods, but I do like how they have done this. Rubber surround is definitely out. Also with some nice colour matched anodised bolts, there is a lot of potentual.

Do you have a code for these then and can they be ordered online yet? Personally I like it but not everyone's cup of tea!

Can't really argue with £30 for the whole ALU panel with a window.

You could drill out the rivets and put bloo LEDz in their place! You'd have to epoxy the window in but that would look cool!

I saw these windowed Lian Li panels a few weeks ago when PCMods was bringing them to their product line. You can't argue that the construction of the window is top notch. I just think if every Lian Li has this same design then it gets pretty boring.

The point is that not everyone is either adept or confident enough to take a power tool to a metal case. Also some people don't have an appropriate area in their house/flat for cutting metal.

These people are entitled to have a nice case too!

Also some people simply don't like to do the work themselves hence companies like Cool Case Mods. But their interest and money helps to keep modding alive.
