Man thas some mad skillz with the etching work!!! pretty damn awsome! loving the logo's to truly inspired, can i ask if you will be tackeling the airflow off this case? most reviews ive read say that its pretty poor due to the location of the psu smack underneath one off the 120mm fans?

still awsome work so far def watching this one from now on:thumb:

    Side Panel Armor

I test cut all the pieces of the side panel armor on cardboard first in order to do a test fit. Used cardboard because it is cheap = free. Just used pieces from leftover boxes that I would have thrown away anyways. It really helped me get a better idea of what the side panels will look like.

    First test panel armor

This is the first idea and test for the side panel. I decided to redesign it, but figured I would show you guys. The panel that will hold the skull leader logo isn't big enouph, so I had to change that. It just seems a bit too uniform. Went back to the drawing board and redesigned it.

    Redesigned side panel with nuts

I added the appearance of nuts to each panels as if it were really screwed on. It adds a more authentic look that is similar to the battleroid.

All the "nuts" together in a pile....I think I might be regreting this part. They are so tiny.

I did notice that about the location of the psu. Right now the case is in pieces, so I haven't really thought about it, especially since there isn't any hardware in it yet. But, thanks for the heads up. :thumb:

I have a lot more to do with this mod. So, you definately will be seeing more. :thumb:

I am glad you like the design. I had to make sure I didn't make it too girly :p Maybe one day I will do a girly mod.

Thanks... working on getting this case done faster. Had a bit of a mental block :wallbash:, but I think I am on the right track now!

    Thanks.

I thought about taking a dremel to it, but just can't get the details that I wanted out of it.

    next update coming soon....

Now that I have tested the panel pieces and everything fits the way I want it, this is the layout of the panels. The blue coloring is just the plastic backing left on. It makes it easier to see.

Awesome! Looks like a shield from the middle ages. You going to back light that skull leader?

    Great work Milotic! :thumb:

You've got it right! Prime and paint is up next. Yes, plexi backing come off. It makes some interesting sounds when you pull it too. :D

    Thanks :thumb:

I'm not sure what to do with the skull leader right now. Want to light it up, but don't think drilling a hole in the side panel is an option right now. Any suggestions?

    Sand, prime, and paint

The panel is pretty heavy so to make it easier to paint all sides I put it on a lazy susan. It made it so much easier

Painted the side panels a mechanic grey. This will serve as the base color of the side panels.

That bright yellow you're using reminds me of Gundam.
