It looks very cool. I must have missed something here...how is the motherboard tray suppose to move once the board ie installed? It seems to me that the entire "cage" would have to move including the I/O plate and PCI slot structure. Again, I must have missed something.

    Hey slipperyskip.
Yes, its moves the entire tray with the motherboard and its components.
So I removed the motherboard tray on the rear 55mm.

OK. So help me out here. Where would a video card be screwed into and what direction would it face? I'm confused.

I second SS' question. I'm sure you have thought this through as your mod shows a **** load of before-hand planning but it doesn't work for me the way it is right now.

Yes, the cards will be bolted in the direction of the tray.

Sorry I do not understand your question. But if it is on turn the case if this will have much weight, due to components.

    I just supported slipperskip's question.
To clarify because I don't really understand your answer: :p

The graphics card and/or sound card in a PC has a back plate with the connectors for your monitors/speakers. Your mainboard tray moves but the back of your case doesn't, right?
If your tray moves though, what will happen to the cards back plates? They are usually bolted to the back of the case, thus immovable. If you move the tray without moving the cards either or both will break.

I'll see if I can draw up something later.

perplekk, SS, my guess would be that the cables are attached to the mb inside the computer, with enough slack so that they can move when the pneumatics push it out. in that case, opening up the motherboard would be how you attach/detach them. not a terribly efficient design, but anytime you're putting something as awesome as a pneumatic system inside a computer case efficiency is the least of your concerns ;)

    This is the idea guys.
The cables will be fixed at the foot of the bracket (it need less slack), then exit out the rear.
    Example:

Ok . That's cool. I see that now. Looks like you will have to work out some kind of video card/sound card support or use onboard stuff only..

Yes, I will have to create or modify the support for the cards.

Thanks for putting up the video migui, that :rocks:!
I love the sound it makes as you fire the air to turn it on or off. I'm glad to see that the cylinders move slowly... I was thinking it would be a lot faster/forceful.
