What do you guys prefer about that one over ut2k4? I think I still own the original, although it's not the goty edition I don't think.
Battlegrounds and TF2 are good, try em out. If you liked CoD, maybe DoD:S or CS:S? I liked the UT99 the best, 2k4 doesn't have the same feel, though Ballistic Weapons is great. UT3 is pretty cool as well, if you like eyecandy.
With everything that's already been mentioned (and the many that haven't), just get something with a picture of a gun in front of you and you're away...LOL
Yep, its out - I bought it lunch time. Awesome so far - really creepy but a little confusing at the moment. Looks awesome with a decent Nvidia card or physx card. There's a tech demo/benchmark and a playable demo to try before you buy too.
Im suprised no one has mentioned Fallout 3. COD World At War is really good. Gears of War is good also. Ive been wanting to get Crysis Warhead for some time now but have had other things to do. Maybe I'll get it as a birthday present.
RPG? It is? Third person shooter? I'm not saying that they're bad suggestions, it's just that they don't really fall under the category of FPS.
Fallout 3 is still a FPS even though its a RPG. I also liked COD World at War although it is very short. It has some pretty good graphics in my eyes. Also I thought I would mention Gears of War since it is along the same lines as a first person shooter even though its in the 3rd person view.

Its making my hairs stand on end just thinking about it, awesome level. Another vote for Thief 3 and Deus Ex. All though not strictly like cod, more like a rpg with a fps view. There isn't really anything like cod apart from, well cod and cod 2. cod 4 is good an all but I love the old guns and ww2 theme of the original titles.

With mods = win. stalkan - Check fpsan - check weapon customisan - check radioactive blowouts with fan mods - check immersion which drags you in relentlessly - check shittan bricks - check Accept no substitutes, unless you play hl2 in a dark room with a good sound system.
