Bioware have just announced the system specs required for Dragon Age: Origins. I'm still trying to work out why SP2 isn't good enough for XP. Not that it matters, my Athlon 64 and 7800 GTX have no chance.
they have probably just put SP3 on the list as its the latest update for XP, but suppose that doesn't mean it will run on service package 2, but SP3 is a free update anyway. You should be able to play it with your setup, but on minimum settings , I haven't got a clue what this game is, but my comp wouldn't run it very well either lol Gaz
Pretty humble specs. Apart from the disk space. Interesting how they seem to specify a quad core specifically for the top end, but a dual core in the minimum specs. Makes me think they have made it to use all four cores. My good ole E6600 has been holding strong the past couple of years but I wonder how much time is left in it before I need to move to a Q6600 or something. I'll do it eventually for Alan Wake and Supreme Commander 2 but the later I can hold out, the better
Not too bad overall. I'm also wondering it it will support 4 cores; the recommended specs seem to suggest such.
Recommended quad core.... Not that humble. The minimum specs are useless for making the game look good at a playable frame rate.
Recommended is to run the game cranked. I am referring to the 1.4Ghz processor, 1gig of ram, and the 6600 GT 128MB.
It's single player, made by a lot of the people involved with the "Baldur's Gate" series which is very popular to say the least.
Let's face it Lev, a 4 year old graphics card just won't cut it nowadays. Maybe best put it to pasture and start checking the sofa for a complete system upgrade.
