Very nice rad, I am using the 120mm version myself, sadly mine wasn't in as good condition as yours when I got it (had a few scratches) and it came in a plain brown cardboard box but it works brilliantly.

 

So you had those blue wires and then you sleeved them?

 

Actually no, the PSU is just the regular wires sleeved because logistically the way that I am doing the visible blue wires, having them run all the way to the PSU just doesnt make sense. I finished half of the Blue 24-pin wires last night so tonight I will have a clear and obvious documentation of how I did them

 

Ok I guess ill wait for pictures because that didnt make a lick of sense.

 

Hehe, yeah I guess it only makes sense to me because there is a major item that goes on the motherboard tray that I have not shown pics of yet.... Basically I am using a fancy 24-pin extension section for the visible portion of the wiring

So you have:

PSU[sleeved wires][blue wires]
Ill have to see how you execute it because honestly it doesnt sound good to me to do half one way and half the other.
Im waiting on more pins now but all of my wires are going inside my PSU to be soldered and heatshrunk then exit the case and go to its respective place. I love my Corsair PSU but the cables are way too long for my case. Ill be happy once they are all the right length.

Hey, its not all that difficult if you set yourself to it!

This was all hand made from a piece of 1/4" thick delrin using a drill press - I used solidworks to figure out the hole spacing, hashed out the cut area with the sharp ends of my digital calipers and used the hand center punch to finalize the hole locations. I then used my drill press to make the holes with the aid of some clamps and a piece of 90degree alu extrusion as the X-axis guide to keep the holes in a perfect straight line. Lastly I sanded with 100 then 320 and primed once and painted 4 coats of satin black krylon spray paint - sun dried for 24 hours.

Looks good. Im going to try to bring my wires straight off the short edge of the 24 pin and not loop it off like most people do on the long side. Its mainly because of the way the torture rack is and the way im thinking of making my wire runs.
I finally got my extra pins in so I started discharging the PSU this morning and it should be good in about 9 hours or so when im off work.

Are you still using those silver rings to hold your wires? Im going low tech for now and just using tiny black zip ties in Mil-spec fashion every 4" or so. It looks ok for now but im still looking for ways to hold it up to the bottom of the mobo tray without it looking silly and out of place.

Nice work on the ATX wires. I was actually planning on doing the same thing with my next build off in the not-too-distant future, just in black. Beat me to it...

I cannot wait to see the end product in all its glory. More so to see how a 140.3 rad performs along with your 'parallel Crossfire WC bridge'. Also any idea on what HDD's you are going to go for? Dont think Intel would be too cool funding an AMD build so an OCZ vertex for a boot drive maybe?
