OK guys, bad news i'm afraid. :( The company that was going to market the unit has pulled out. So at the moment the electrobus is currently unavailable for purchase.

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

You must be frustrated :( Are you gonna try to find another company ? I'm sure the demand is out there ?

It is frustrating after the time and effort spent developing it as a commercial product, but that's life. The demand seems to be high, I get several dozen emails a week asking me to sell or make them.

At the moment, I have moved on to other things so, unless a suitable company comes along, people will have to make their own for the forseeable future. :(

I'd second the demand issue. I don't think sales would be a problem for a device of this quality. The only issue, as far as I can see, would be price.
Macroman, how much would each unit cost, as a rough estimate?

Beter yet, find some alumminum paint (yes, there's actual alum in it.) There's two cans in our basement for some reason. Cheaper than buying an alum case at any rate.

    3.5 Floppy

    Macro,
Can I buy your 3.5 floppy drive from ya (with the faceplate)?
I will pay up to like $35 or so? and the shipping!

I really like it. Maybe someone sells them laser cut?

    Come on

    Re: Buv 3.5 Floppy

    Aww,
I don't have your expertice. Maybe you could put up exact instructions for how you did this? I have the PC-68 and currently my floppy looks like crap (it is painted). I would love to try my hand at making my own but I dont know the tools? You mentioned a needle file and stuff in the article but no details. Could you do a specific article on the faceplate? I even have the fiber to do the led with. Please?

    Thanks

Once the site is back to normal I will probably do a series of "technique" articles showing just that. ;)

I think that the only place you can get replacement faceplates is dirrectly from Lian-Li and to do that your gona have to learn Japaneese...have fun.

I've an SX1030b case (with door over bays) so the recessed knobs is a great idea. Thanks for the tip. :D

    Hey macro:

I wonder where you've got the Fanbus from.
I like the option to put off the power totally when pressing it , very nice.
My "normal" RheoBus can "just" adjust the speed.
