Sorry I just HAD to post this. This is genuine uptime on claranet £15 a month package using no special software to keep the connection active. Yes I did go to bed during this time before anyone asks. Question is - can anyone beat it?
no I wish I could though speaking of such special software can anyone provide me with links to anything which can keep an NTL dialup connection active... e-mail them to me, shove them on lorquis.net whatever... just do it! NOOOWWWW
*kicks DSL modem into 'on' mode* There... That'll be up for a few more minutes now..... My connection is almost always up, about as much as my computer is up... But I still get teh speeds of dial up a lot...
Damn gloating DSL users For those of us that aren't in an ADSL or cable area, the only thing we have to boast about is our uptime

3 days 4hours 32mins and 79seconds on 56k on dial up about 6 months ago b4 i got cable uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sorry about that now the only bad thing is that when i go to mates houses who have the net on 56k i fall asleep to easily i mean man i download mp3s in like 8seconds 192kps mp3s not crappt 90kps 1s ahh well i enjoy myself
when I had dialup, my record was 3 days 14 hours, with Netzero!! (Netzero was completly free at the time). Now I have DSL
Wait a second, they still haven't outlawed dialup yet? God dammit, what's taking the telecom industry so damn long?
what about us people who live in areas where there is no broadband or cable and the power is so crap it turns all my pcs off every few days? why did i have to be a countryside geek WHYYYY?????
5mb in 8 seconds? I'd like to see proof please! . On my 600kbit cable I can download 1mb in 15 seconds. Still it's faster than most DSL users I know of.
To take the screenshot EDIT: Ah I see what you're getting at. I hope not everyone is as suspicious but if you need live proof then I'm sure something can be arranged.
