it was a dark grey primer - then i did a very thin layer of plastikote daily for about a week to ensure a nice even coverage today i painted my pci plates and managed to get some black thumb screws for the pci panel and the rear/side panels of the case currently painting my single slot graphics plates and sound card plate in the same way after the advice on my pumps and trying to take the common sense approach i decided to redo my pump mounts i used the technique i described earlier in the thread by using the rubber stilts from the striker motherboard and putting some space under the pumps
few bits done today: put the hammond box on the switch pcb [the silver screws are going soon, got some black ones somewhere] also got a new psu... its got high ratings and should allow me to sleeve it easily without voiding warranty running it on my rig at the moment - its much quieter than my TX750w corsair Waiting on my second GPU block and my mosfet blocks and then its time to build [should arrive this week]
well - whilst i wait for MORE sleeving to arrive in the post... alongside my tubing and rad stands i decided to take a card out of my system and put the block i have onto it i am still waiting for my EK mosfet kit and another nickel 4890 block to match this one [then i can crack on and actually start building] i am very impressed Gelid GC Extreme - apparantly the best thermal paste on the market at the moment... we shall see
i know - it looks sweet, photos dont do it justice thanks man getting nothing done at the moment as i am still waiting for parts got a pair of white ddc tops and a black mounting plate for my supreme on order from EK also waiting for my gpu and mosfet blocks from EK in the meantime this beast has arrived decided my PA120.3 was never good enough heres a test fit... got some Acetone from the chemist so i could stealth up the front of the case... no logos! also, this little lot arrived. I needed some cable braid to finish off my PSU and ended up buying loads to make the order worth while
Those rad mounts, what do you think of them quality wise? I was looking at them the other day was was thinking whether it would be worth making them or buying them lol.
the quality is good satin black powdercoating they fit the radiators [new thermochill 15mm spacing] perfectly i have one on my curent pa120.3 and it looks good couldnt resist the quad when i saw it at work though
back in the game! bad times this week the blocks i have on order still havent showed up i ordered two ddc tops from EK they sent me one [which looks sweet] so eddy has sorted me out with another that should be here tomorrow for my other pump and i have finally finished my cables!
Tbh I'm not sure what's turning me on more here, the full cover mobo blocks or the cable brading on everything! Serious hat's off to you for your patience on doing every. last. cable.
i must admit - its driving me a bit daft! i needed a way of getting the cables braided without warranty voiding the psu so all the modular cables are braided as well as the extentions for the 24pin and 12v [8pin] it takes ages but is well worth the sore fingers!
Hi, where did you get the Gelid GC-Extreme & the Bitspower plug fittings you have on your cards? I cant find the paste in europe & the Bitspower fittings I can find are without the Dragon logo. Very nice build, looking forward to completion
