But seriously i dont understand the whole cheesecake thing either. It seems to be aimed at EVGA products but not always. Anyone want to earn some more rep and answer this one?

I'll probably get messed with for providing a 'real' answer here buuut... F T W without spaces is parsed into "cheesecake" by the boards. The EVGA thing is because they have an F T W line of products IIRC

have you tried googling “relix bit tech”, think thats what I did when my curiosity got the better of me after a few months and I think I found out enough not to have to ask

i think the cheesecake thing started about the time portal came out and people discovered that the cake is a lie ...

not sure though. You know how it is with these things, they get so big it's almost impossible to go back and find their origins

 

I'm pretty sure it derived from an in-house joke, from the days when we (TrustedReviews) and bit-tech still shared an office.

 

I KNEW it was in-house! RTT is TR's code monkey and I remember Tim being involved, too.

 

I must say I've never eaten any cheesecake. I do wonder what it tastes like.
