This project is Sponsored by In Win

Here's the case that In Win mailed me. It's called the Matrix and is a lot smaller than most other cases I've worked with.

I start once I get my paint!

    So here's the case

And that's how big it is

The side has a vent that comes off for easy cleaning. This one is staying off

This is how the front opens

The bottom has a bay for a card reader or something

The back let's you guide all your cables through one slot at the bottom

It can also be opened or removed

At the bottom back are tabs

You lift up the two tabs and pull out

Then you remove the faceplate like any other case

And only then can the side be taken off

Here the case is standing on its back as I remove the 5.25 bay

Then there's this plastic shroud. It's probably for the Processor air duct?

    And there's the inside

It seems like a well constructed case. I'm curious how you're going to incorporate the Buddha theme in. Painted panels?

Way too hard to get into and too plastic-y for me.

Will see how your work can transform this though. :thumb:

I don't like how you have to remove the faceplate to remove the side.
    Looking forward to further developments!

Sorry for a such a HUGE gap in updates. I got to a point where I was sick of modding and really needed a vacation from it. Now that I'm rested, let's finish...

I'll paint the left side once I cut out the mesh for the window

I cut out most of the mesh, but I still need to get it cleaned up

I made the right side sky blue

    I bought some bamboo!

And cut them to around 6 inches. Each cut didn't have to be exact. I think varying heights will look more natural

It took a couple of hours to get enough made to cover approximately 18 inches. My hand is killing me!

    I photocopied my own hand

I then sent the image to www.CrazyPC.com who cleaned the image up

And made me some UV Window etches

I cut out a small piece of Plexi

And I cleaned up the window

Then I carefully applied the image to the glass

The blue is the UV color on the inside of the glass

    Here is from the outside

    And backlit with UV

I made the front bottom blue to match

Then applied the glue and bamboo with the Chinese characters for HOPE

Then I put the chinese charaters for PEACE on the left side

It's a really bizarre contrast between the bamboo and 2001-style case. I'm curious to see how this goes.:D
I think it would be interesting to use the bamboo for grills. Leave the outside futuristic, but have the windows filled with 'boo.
