    You do realize the numbers don't add up statistically.

    CNN says Google had 1 million requests and were giving out 100,000 invitations. How come that out of all of us who signed up + everyone I have known forever - NOBODY gets an invitation? 10% should have received something.

    I think due to the sheer number of people wanting in on this google have decided to not give out all 100k invites at once but instead are releasing them in a contolled manner.

    This reason alone makes it stupid to try an sell them on ebay, I've seen them for £25 buy it now on there with warnings saying invites may take upto 48 hours to arrive, once sent.

    I have a feeling there's going to be lots of disappointed people in this thread.

    To me, it looks quite cool but it hardly seems revolutionary, particularly as I don't use Twitface or whatever it's called. I'll just wait 'till they release it as an open beta where most of the bugs have been ironed out and I would actually have some people to use it with,.

    so basically wave is the love child of facebook and msn live. even facebook has a IM sevice.

    I actually thought wave was going to be more exciting than this.

    The only thing is because its google, it should be done alot nicer than other developed applications or what ever there called on the net...

    I was gripped by the whole hour+ of the Wave preview vid when I saw it. Looks like it's going to be awesome.

    @themcman1 I haven't received my invite yet. I am so looking forward to this.

    I have noticed from the other twitters out there that have also been sent invites they have not yet received their invites. For you other 7 on here did you get an invite come through your email inbox?

    IM with map integration looks awesome!

    Google will take this whole social networking to a new level, kinda glad its not an apple invention, if it was it would be expensive and one big click wheel. oooooooo shiny!
