    Hiya,

After GIGABYTE announced the new rule last Friday (Taipei Time) – “Qualifications: Contestants must use GIGABYTE graphics cards with appointed chip set” , there were intense discussions all over the world.

GIGABYTE carefully read through all your valuable opinions from all forums and e-mails. We really appreciate your great suggestions about our first graphics OC competition. We found our good intention to maintain the fairness of this OC event for all attendees, may harm some honest attendees who have already spent their effort and money for this competition. GIGABYTE therefore decides to keep our words and announce that this competition will follow the original rule: “Contestants must use graphics cards with appointed chip set. There is no brand limitation.”

GIGABYTE sincerely apologizes for our inconsideration. However, GIGABYTE still concern about the situation that some companies are trying to break the following rule, and harm other attendees’ rights: “Persons employed by or in a similar relation to GIGABYTE Technology, their subsidiaries or to companies participating on the preparation and organization of the whole Competition as well as members of their families, are nonetheless excluded from participation.”

GIGABYTE will try our best to prevent this unfair sponsorship situation and will strictly audit and verify the final results upload from all participants.

GIGABYTE sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience and confusion we may cause, and thanks for your kindly understanding.

    GIGABYTE
