You can turn the family filter off, but be warned.

I love Bing's video search. Bing's layout is amazing when it comes to displaying videos which is now the search engine I turn to for a video search. You guys should give it a try.

Bing vs Google for just a normal web search, Google wins in my book, Bing is pretty though.

So Bing has been covered in blog posts, an article, a survey, and now another blog post which points out a microsite I was previously unaware of.

    :duh:

    Ho-hum.

Used it a few times, but I always had to go back to Google to find relevant results. I may not have given it a fair shot, but when Google presents the results I want on the first page and Bing doesn't have them on 2-3 pages, Google wins.

What possible reason would I have for encouraging the use, by using and therefore bolstering the figures, of a Microsoft controlled search engine?

MS have enough influence over the computer industry.

Welcome to the world of Dennis Publishing... :sigh:

I don't use bing, it was the image search that put me off, the filters are useless especially the size ones.
I'd like a little more choice than too small to see, too small to use, too small and everything else.

Can't say I had heard anything about it until that "survey" (read, ad) thing popped up.

Still not tried it, sticking to Yahoo or Google

I've tried bing, Can't say as I'm overly impressed, google just seems overall better at getting the results i want.

Plus i use Igoogle as my homepage, something that as far as i know, bing doesn't offer

I've not been back to bing since I last read about it here. It's very much an "it ain't broke" decision.

Plus, searching for anything is "ctrl+K" or just straight from the location bar, both of which default to Google or can be modified with a click or a keyword for wiki, imdb, whatever.

Bing seems superfluous, and I think that's something it will suffer for for a long time to come.

    Must revise my opinion:

hav been planning a trip through south-east asia, and couldnt "route" from one city to the next using Googlemaps, Yahoomaps or Viamichelin.
    Bing however routes.

So: one feature of Bing that Google doesn't fullfill: routing in the likes of Thailand/Vietnam/Laos
