Try EVE online, its about as close as you're going to get! I'd like to see a remake of deus ex, been playing it again recently with the HDTP demo, they're sure taking their time releasing that thing

 

Battlezone2, feck me I wish there would be a remake.

Hmmm, I wonder if it will run in compatability mode on W7?

 

I'd love to see a remake of Gunship 2000, loved that game on the Amiga. Chaos Engine could be fun too with a modern makeover as long as they kept the original soundtrack.

Longbow 2... holy crap I actually remember that one. Launching Hellfires until I got the "all clear" and RTB

There was some insanely detailed Helicopter sim/game recently enough, BlackShark or something similar. I believe it came with a 300 page manual or close to it. Was actually meant to be quite good fun as well from a few reports I got.

Would also like to see a re-release of theme hospital with its slapstick humour. Was a great game to kill the odd hour. With the homeworld games I think it would be interesting to have ships with shields that diminish/recharge.

Those games belong with other fond memories of my childhood <3

Oh and I feel deep down that I've forgotten one or two games that are equally good as those mentioned..

 

Freelancer. It is just such a great game, I thought I was the only one who knew about it, I have 3 copies (They aer £3 each and I wanted to know I could play it if a disk died for somee reason, thats how much I like it)

 

What I really, really wish in the future is that fast paced multiplayer games like UT and Quake come back strong. I wish that at some point players will want to be challenged again instead of given games that require more thinking than instincts.

True, UT3 isn't old and quakelive is alive and strong, but what I would like is something either completely new or that is as great as Q3 and UT99 were back in the days. I want something big that has 1v1 competition.

I am, however, willing to wait a few years for that. It sucks right now but I am confident that at some point PC gamers will want to be challenged again.

...if only Epic would give the rights of UT to a young and talented studio ...

 

Hell ya! I still play DK2 now and then. I just honestly wished that Bullfrog had made DK3

 

as far as im aware, progress has stopped, wasnt the last update in like 2006?
