Modding Ickle lian li A05-b (now aircooled)

    Got it built finaly :thumb:

    Watercooling:
    Laing ddc ultra
    Black ice gt 360 crossflow
    Swiftech storm g4 rev 2
    Ek 8800gtx block
    thermochill res i had lerking about


    Tech specs:
    Asus striker extreme , with thermalright sb and nb sinks (heatpipes + upsidedown = FTL)
    Intel Q6600 @ 3g :)
    gainward 8800gtx
    4gb dominator 6400
    74gig raptor
    250gig wd caviar
    Antec true power 650
    X-fi fatality (died :waah:)
    samsung s-ata dvd-rw thingy

    that looks really good, i love how the 3 fan rad fits perfectly on this case. it looks great, but its to cramped for me, lol

    some updated piccys :) ,

    Things done

    -Clearflex has been replaced with tygon r-3603 due to the clearflex misting up and generly being rather unflexable

    -addition of a matrix orbital

    - Heatsinks Repainted so they all match :)

    - wiring redone

    No mods for the Dominator cooler :eeek:
    Very nice wiring job wish I could do that =)

    Damn, that looks awesome and to me it seems as if it's a perfect fit. One question why the LED Asaka's? They look 'off' to me.

    They were all i hate lerking about at the time :) the cam makes them a lot brighter than they realy are.

    Wow.. (2years)

    Very Long overdue brief update (2 years o_O). Case is still alive and kicking although now housing much more modern hardware and in a different Form. Of all the cases i have used and abused over the years this proves to still be the most versatile case iv had to date.

    Watercooling has been removed , as the case provides a very nice base for a air cooled system :)

    Ram: 12gb 6x2gb Corsair 7-7-7-20
    Psu: Hiper 880watt
    Gpu: Ati radeon 5870
    Sound card: Asus xonar d2
    HD Array: 3x ocz 60gb summits (raid 0) & 300gig velociraptor
    HD Controller: Adaptec 2405 SAS controller
    Optical: Samsung 22x dvd-rw

    My attention has moved onto cars in the last 2 years, and it was only through browsing that i stumbled apon this thread again :)

    i really like the case. very clean. and tidy.
    what i hope my case turns out to be. eventually.

    also.

    did you have any problems getting the hd 5870 into the case?
    i was under the impression that i would be needing to do some modifications to get it to fit.
    is this not the case? i recently just bought the PC-A05N. not having to modify to get that card in would be a relief.

    The normal 5870 will fit in just fine, no mods required :)
