    I've gotten all of the brackets in, just have to add fasteners, figure out how cable routing works (never really used it before), and add a few more touches. Will post what I have soon.

    [IMG] Teaser :D That's the back cut, still has some aesthetic touches (like a cover panel) that need to be added, but that's the functional part. As well as the Fuel Gasket that is used as a power plug input. I have a feeling those rivets will be a pain...

    nice colt, i feel it would have looked even better if u kept the outer shape of a real turbine and stood it up like one of these cheeky lava lamps !

    @Lenne, I couldn't because it'd mess up the airflow. I have it so the front is an actual oversized fan (not just a lookalike turbine), which pushes air over and out through the back, the back has a small exhaust fan to help cool it down as well. This baby would be super hot without any cooling ;) Aluminum is a great heat conductor you know.

    I like the bulkhead mount for the power.
    For radial positioning, I work in pairs on the opposite ends of the object from each other. If you can group them, then it's just a matter of rotating to the next hole.
    -Sooooo, that sounded like gibberish again...
    Position two rivets.
    copy
    paste
    rotate
    repeat.
    -And you probably know this already.:D

    nah, i meant just the outer shape, i know that u need the fans, something faintly similar to this:

    because a "tube" is just a tube doesnt matter how u look at it ;)

    @Confusis
    Ah I grew up around airplanes and jets, so it came natural to me as a design idea. as for it being a tube, it's a cylinder with features on the ends, and the sides have their own details added as well. Not quite just a simple tube. You would be amazed at the number of parts that went into just making that shape for an outside body without any of the features.... was quite difficult. Should have more pics soon, weekend means work time for me.

    @Cheapskate
    I'm hoping I can do a radial and linear patterns to get the rivets done in a timely fashion, but don't know how well it'll work. I was surprised to find Solidworks doesn't have built in blind rivet models. I may just open it up in Inventor and use that to put the fasteners in.

    And I still would like to know if any of you are able to convert Sketchup models to Inventor or Solidworks part/assembly files... I would love to put in my Zotac mini ITX board instead of a sub in block ;) (Portable and folding is my design intent, you guys should see some more stuff probably later tonight or tomorrow, definitely by the end of the weekend.)

    Here's what i'm working on at the moment. The little explanation in my project log:
    The "wave" on te left sidepanel is a direct copy of my gracious' sponsors logo: www.Highflow.nl .
    Also, the whole case is mathematically perfect. Dimensions: 256 x 289 x 361 mm.
    Yep, indeed that's 162 x 172 x 192. :geek:
