News Modern Warfare 2 PC player limit slashed

The standard Console Tax of course, we Pc gamers always pay our Window Tax in advance

Personally I like the take on unique PC functionality: Not only does the PC version support the ability to change video resolutions, it also comes with mouse AND keyboard support! Though rumour has it that keyboard support will actually involve the purchase of additional DLC

 

call of duty 4 has a player limit of 52! but with the introduction of this iwnet (no dedicated servers) there going to be running smaller severs for us. as if there going to be paying the big bucks for large servers ? single player for me

I can see why they have done it cus its easier to make a map for 9v9 for the PS3 and 360 then just put them on the PC instead of having to play test the same map with 64 ppl but it shows that they don't care about pc gaming

Instead of canceling your pre-orders you should all start to donate to a fund (use paypal maybe?), and gather up enough savings to buy the franchise from IW.
That's the only way this game is ever going to be done right, by the gaming community.

They have lost a considerable amount of money ... I alone was going to be getting it on PC and my PS3. (but no longer am). Two of my friends are no longer buying the PC version due to the dedicated server issue.. Thats over £100 right there... lost.

Im sure it all adds up. Im also sure the game will still be successful financially... but no where near as successful as it could have been.

A tragic shame all round.

9vs9 is not so bad. CS 1.6 has 5vs5 in matches and it's one of the most played pc games to this date. I think 9 people is enough of a team to get some nice tactics down, it's like two 4 player squads.

So whats the max player limit on consoles then? I bet it's like 8 or something rofl-ish.

 

I dunno.. if SP is as good as the first MW was, I still want the game. COD4 was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had tbh.

For multiplayer I can just go back to good old BF2

 

As this seems to be a direct console port in everyway (Lazy Ba$tards) tomorrow's news will be that the PC version is capped to 720p resolution

Seeings how it seems to be identical to the console version maybe they will let PC players compete with consoles in multiplayer which might be the only redeeming feature as we get to own them all, the 3 PC owners that will have actually purchased the game that is.

 

Wow. PC gamers keep getting bent over and raped. And they wonder why people pirate.
